Officials claim they will veto Lake County income tax

If the County Council adopts an income tax on Tuesday, the Lake County Board of Commissioners said they will hold a special meeting on October 16th to veto it. Of course since both commissioners are running for re-election, they will certainly be happy to veto it. "I will never pass an income tax," County Commissioner Fran DuPey, D-Hammond, said Wednesday. Commissioner Gerry Scheub, D-Schererville, echoed her remarks.

Of course Gary could really use the money, but that's what you get when you elect a known crook into office as mayor. Let's see if Clay is re-elected. . . .
